Meet Our Adoptables

Alvin and his buddy Simon were owner relinquished and came to the rescue on 2/18/26. Both boys arrived as jacks that had been left to graze in a pasture, and Alvin in particular developed fat pads and a broken crest. They were both gelded and put on a very nutritious diet that allowed for weight loss while providing the essential nutrients they were lacking. Simon was adopted to a wonderful family, leaving Alvin behind. He's a very sweet boy, but hasn't really bonded with anyone. He is well-mannered and gets along with the rescue herd. He's a bit shy, but once others aren't crowding, he loves attention and hugs. He leads, trailers, and does well for the farrier. We would love for Alvin to find a loving home with a mellow friend, and a family that has the time and patience to help him come out of his shell.

Amber arrived in February 2006 with her 2 year-old daughter Coco as an owner release. Both of them were bred before arriving in our care by Dominic. Dominic is a mini donkey. Her baby is possibly due between January and March. Her adoption fee is $700.

Carly was rescued from a feedlot in late February 2025. She arrived severely neglected, malnourished, and pregnant. She also had fat pockets, a broken crest, and terrible hooves. Unfortunately, due to her condition she got very ill, and lost her sweet baby. She received treatment from a specialty farrier. She wears squishy shoes on her front as she does have some permanent chronic laminitis. She is the sweetest jenny, and loves attention. She gets along with everyone, but has really become close with sweet Miss Duchess. She really deserves to have a special family that will cherish her after all she's been through.

She is very sweet, but a bit shy so she needs more handling to catch. She stands tied for the Farrier, she leads and she loves grooming. She gets along with others, and will make a wonderful addition to a loving family. home.

Charlotte is a young filly (long yearling). Her mother was a Hackney pony. She came to us with Candy, and Clara when they were returned from their adopters due to family hardship. She wasn't handled much as a baby, and basically was turned out with the donkey girls, so she is learning to be a horse with the boys! She is a very smart girl, and she learns very quickly, but she can be a pill, reactive, and very stubborn. She is very sweet with her new friend River, but needs work with humans. She's going to need a very experienced equine family that will give her consistency, lots of love, and training to finish her for her life journey.

Sweet Coco was an owner relinquishment with her beautiful mama Amber. They both came to the rescue pregnant. We had taken in the papa Dominic a couple weeks prior. Coco is a no lights point standard jenny. She is very sweet, and just loves people. She leads, trailers, and is well-behaved for the farrier. She had her baby on June 16, 26. We named him Beans. He is a precious baby boy, and they sure love each other very much. Coco can be seen running and playing with him on turnout as she's just a baby herself. He's an angel, and loves everyone! He's already had farrier trims, and was a very good boy. We're working with him on haltering, and leading will be soon. He is a bit too young for gelding, but that will be done prior to adoption. Since they're a loving family, they will be only up for adoption together.

Cora is a 33"mini Jenny. She's a very sweet Jenny. She's well mannered, but is a bit shy to catch. Once she's caught, she just loves getting attention, and grooming. She stands tied for the Farrier, she leads well. She would make a wonderful addition to a family that is willing to shower her with love!

Duchess came to us from a horrible kill pen in the beginning of 2024. We thought she was pregnant. She was taken to the vet, after waiting for so long for her foal. She had all the appropriate testing done, and the vet determined that she has PPID, and EMS. She's been at the rescue for a 1 1/2 now. She's been on medications for her conditions, and they've gotten her hormone, and sugar levels under control, and she's lost all the weight and bloating it was causing. She's on a soaked Teff Hay diet, and she is doing so well. She's looking BEAUTIFUL! She is the sweetest girl! She absolutely loves everyone, human and equine alike. She especially loves getting groomed, and getting one on one attention. She is excellent for the farrier, halters, leads, and trailers like a champ! She will have to be on a strict soaked hay diet, and her medications for the remainder of her life.

We don't have any background other than she was listed as a gelding at the auction, and is a survivor from the nightmare known as ROAR. We ended up saving her along with 11 other survivors at their second auction in January 2025. The rescue has been working with her on gentling, and farrier work. She's now part of the rescue herd, and gets along with everyone, although she does prefer hanging out with Maylama who is in sanctuary at the rescue. She's starting to like attention, will come up for scratches now! She enjoys grooming, and cookies too! She is all around just a sweet, and beautiful girl. We want her to find a family that has the time to spend giving her the attention and love that she deserves. One that will understand she still needs some help with learning all the things she's expected to know.

Kenko came to the rescue as an owner relinquishment. He's a very in your pocket donkey. He's very sweet, and has a HUGE personality. He's a pro at leading, trailering, and is well-behaved for the farrier. He got along with all the donkeys in the rescue herd, and his favorite friends were all adopted. Kenko was adopted, and returned because he doesn't do well with horses. He can be a kicker. Since being back, he's become best friends with Poncho. They both needed someone that was equally dominant. We were really hoping they could be adopted together, rather than trying to make either one adjust to someone new. We do think Kenko would get along with jennys, because he has in the

Ralph is a micro-mini gelding. He's approximately 28-30" tall. He came to the rescue 6/6/24 in a U-haul of all things! His owner wanted to board him here until he could find a place for this sweet boy to live. His owner loved little Ralph very much, and you could tell, because he was a sweetheart from the start. The rescue got him gelded and started him on a more nutritious diet. He was able to make friends with the sanctuary herd, and socialize with his own kind. He is a champ at haltering, leading, and is well-behaved for the farrier. He absolutely loves people, and especially children. He has the best personality, and is a very calm donkey. He's never in too much of a hurry, but he'll kick it up with the others on occasion. Little Ralph's previous owner never found a place for him to live, and decided to permanently board him. We felt that Little Ralph deserved so much more, since he is such a special boy. So, we finally convinced his owner to sign him over to the rescue, so we could find the best home ever, where he could share his love and patience with others. Little Ralph has a heart of gold, is so filled with love, and has a wonderful personality! We feel that his talent would be well served as a therapy horse where people could visit with him, and maybe even go to nursing homes. So, we are only looking for a home that would honor that for him, that also has the time to give him all the attention and love he deserves. We would also love for him to have a sweet friend for him to live out his days with. No hard work, no riding, no petting zoos etc.

Precious little mini Napoleon is such a sweet boy. When he arrived here, he was very underweight with his ribs showing, and he was still an intact stud. We've got him at a great weight and we had him gelded. Napoleon is super sweet. He leads like an angel. He is great with children and he loves companionship of other horses.

We saved them from the Kill pen in April 2026. Their history is unknown. Possum is such a sweet young jenny, and they both love people and attention. They're good with the farrier, and leading. Since they're family, they will be adopted together.

He is a beautiful gelding available as a pasture pet. He's very gentle and lovable. Due to past neglect, he cannot be ridden due to dropped fetlocks. He can be lead line for small children, and make a fantastic companion. He loves attention, snacks, and grooming! He's easy to catch, trailers, leads, and is well-behaved for the Farrier.

River is a sweet and precious gelding. He's a yearling that was born with a congenital abnormality that caused juvenile cataracts. We think he has some limited vision, as he always checks his perimeters. He's a good minded horse, and is very gentle. He loves people, lots of attention, and enjoys companionship with other horses. He leads well, and is well-behaved for the farrier. We turn him out in the paddock with his other horse friends, but he stays in a turnout for safety. He loves going for walks too. We would love for him to find a experienced horse family that would devote their time to him, provide him training as he has the temperament and bravery to possibly ride or be a therapy horse. He would make a great companion, and would more than likely love having children loving on him.

Shadow came to the rescue with his mama Sabrina last September when he was only 3-4 months old. He's been neutered, and is approximately a year old now. He's a sweet boy, and is looking for a loving family to give him his forever home!

Sonia is an Owner Release tall standard donkey. Last year in 2025 Sonia had a double bilateral tendon surgery on her front legs. She arrived with horrible hooves. Now she is on track to a bright future looking forward to a family who will give her lots of love and cuddles. Her adoption fee is $700.

They.’re about 36” tall. They're both very well-behaved and get along with their herd mates. They love attention, and grooming. They both are champs with haltering, leading, loading and behave for the farrier. They both have over-eating syndrome, and are on a strict hay diet for weight loss. Otherwise, they're in great health. They're a bonded pair and we would be over the moon if they could be adopted.
