Meet the Team Behind the Mission
Behind every rescued donkey is a dedicated group of volunteers, caregivers, veterinary partners, and supporters who show up day after day to make a difference. At Double D Animal Rescue, we believe it truly takes a team — and we are proud of every person who has answered the call.
From early morning feedings to late-night health checks, from fundraising to transport runs, the DD Donkey Team is the heart and soul of our rescue operation.
What Our Team Does
Daily Care & Feeding
Our hands-on volunteers provide daily feeding, watering, and monitoring to ensure every donkey is healthy and comfortable.
Veterinary Support
We work closely with licensed veterinarians to provide health assessments, vaccinations, dental care, and emergency treatment.
Hoof Care
Our farrier partners provide regular hoof trims and corrective care to keep our donkeys sound and comfortable.
Rehabilitation
Neglected or traumatized donkeys receive patient, compassionate rehabilitation to help them trust humans again and thrive.
Transport & Rescue
Team members coordinate and execute transport runs to pull donkeys from kill pens, auctions, and neglect situations.
Adoption Coordination
We carefully screen adopters and match each donkey with a home that fits their personality and needs.
