Our Founder
Diana Darnall
Diana Darnall founded Double D Animal Rescue and Community Services out of a deep passion for animals and a commitment to making a difference in her community.
Since 2013, Diana has dedicated her life to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing abused, neglected, and endangered animals throughout Texas and beyond.
Foundation History
Diana Darnall begins rescuing animals informally, providing care and shelter to abused and neglected animals in the North Texas area.
The organization is formally established, creating a structured rescue and rehabilitation program for equines and other farm animals.
Double D Animal Rescue and Community Services receives its 501(c)(3) non-profit status, enabling broader community support and donations.
Mission Statement
An organization that specializes in providing humane treatment, services and care for abused, neglected and endangered animals, through rehabilitation and services.
To provide a home or sanctuary or services to re-home abused, neglected and endangered animals. To provide transport, food, shelter, veterinary care, humane euthanasia for sick or dying animals, farrier (hoof care) care, and dental care.
Also providing financial assistance and/or services to communities in need of financial assistance for the humane care and/or transport and/or euthanasia of abused, neglected and endangered animals throughout the United States.
We provide comprehensive medical care for all rescued animals. From routine check-ups to emergency treatments, our veterinary services ensure every animal receives the medical attention they need to heal and thrive.
Oral health is crucial for animal wellbeing. We offer specialized dental services including cleanings, extractions, and treatments for dental disease. Many rescued animals come to us with severe dental issues that have caused pain and suffering.
Professional farrier services for rescued horses and equines. Regular hoof care is essential for the health and mobility of horses. We provide trimming, shoeing, and corrective hoof care to ensure our equine residents can move comfortably.
(Coming Soon) Our year-round food program ensures no animal goes hungry. We maintain a food pantry stocked through donations and community support, providing nutritious meals tailored to each animal's dietary needs.
Many rescued animals have experienced trauma and require behavioral rehabilitation. Our training programs help animals overcome fear, anxiety, and behavioral challenges so they can be successfully re-homed.
Finding loving forever homes for rescued animals through our comprehensive adoption program. We carefully screen potential adopters to ensure the best possible match for each animal.
Permanent sanctuary for animals who need lifelong care in a safe, loving environment. Some animals are not candidates for adoption and live out their lives with us in comfort and dignity.
